btexx's history began in 2000, as the former independent IT specialists became flexible and innovative technology partners. A group of computer scientists who, until then, had only loose contact with each other, joined forces, for the first time, to work on a development project.

It was already at this time that the concept of a new way of organising work came into being - flexible and independent bodies and teams, with the appropriate know-how, should repeatedly get together, as and when required, depending on each assignment.

The organisational model for btexx was inspired by the futurologist, Charles Handy, who compares tomorrow's working environment with a cloverleaf. The first leaf represents management which initiates and co-ordinates the other two leaves. Here the business strategy and visions are designed. The second leaf represents sophisticated technology and business consultants. Each btexx solution co-ordinator is responsible for its client's project plus control of the third leaf. The third leaf represents highly qualified external and internal IT specialists, who are called together, according to the requirements of each project.

 

The btexx business technology partnership was founded on January 1st 2001. The three founders and subsequent partners of btexx were former IT consultants in the technology consulting division of SAP and at an IT management consulting company.
