SAP certifies btexx Software for the SAP Enterprise Portal

btexx is announcing SAP’s certification of its “btexx easyWCM 4.0” and “btexx collaborationManager 1.1” software. After successfully completing testing, the products will bear the SAP trademark “SAP Certified – Powered by SAP NetWeaver”.

btexx collaborationManager integrates Jive SBS 4.0 in SAP enterprise portals

btexx announces the “btexx collaborationManager” on the occasion of the 2nd annual “Web & Portal Technology 2010” conference in Berlin (March 23rd-24th, 2010). The software consists of two components: the popular btexx MOSS Integrator, and the btexx Jive Integrator.

The btexx MOSS Integrator allows easy and convenient integration of SharePoint content (WebParts, navigation, teamsites, etc.) in the SAP Portal. The btexx Jive Integrator serves to establish and maintain the link between SAP business applications and Jive SBS 4.0 social business software for internal and external communities. Ferrostaal has used the portal technology offered by the SAP NetWeaver Portal for the past two years as the leading software for their corporate intranet. The company uses Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 in conjunction with SAP portal technology for the collaboration features.

The Swiss insurance company Suva chooses btexx for its software and consulting needs.

Suva is the largest accident insurance provider in Switzerland. As an independent public insurer, Suva provides around 100,000 businesses and 1.9 million employed and unemployed persons insurance coverage against the effects of accidents and occupational illnesses. The Swiss company issued a request for proposal late last year for its "Suvanet09" intranet project, which envisaged the deployment and redesign of the organization's employee portal and the development of an external insurance portal. The Mainz-based consulting group btexx business technologies GmbH was selected from a number of consulting firms who participated in the process and was awarded the software and consulting service contract.

The result is impressive: Innovative design, efficient usability and optimized performance were achieved on the basis of the SAP NetWeaver Portal and have been available to the close to 20,000 users in the Haniel Group since April of 2008.
