Simple integration of SharePoint content in the SAP NetWeaver Portal

Many companies plan to run the SAP NetWeaver Portal and Microsoft SharePoint/WSS (MOSS) in parallel. The reasons for this are clear: The SAP NetWeaver Portal provides an extremely powerful portal infrastructure with excellent integration possibilities for SAP back-end systems. The advantages of SharePoint Server 2007 are the superb collaboration capabilities it offers and the integration with Microsoft Office.

Wizard-assisted selection of SharePoint content

The integration of SharePoint content is carried out by special iViews directly through the SAP Portal Content Directory (PCD). btexx has developed a wizard for business users in connection with the various specific iViews of SharePoint content.

Navigation integration

With the SAP Portal Navigation Connector it is possible to integrate the navigation hierarchy of SharePoint completely or partly into the navigation of the SAP Portal.

Integration of Web Parts

The btexx MOSS Integrator enables the integration of individual lists of Web Parts, such as a list of documents, into a SAP Portal page. In this way individual SharePoint lists can be displayed with other SAP content on the same portal page.

Management of SharePoint Teamsites in the SAP Portal

The btexx iView "myTeamsites" displays all released SharePoint teamsites for the logged on user within the SAP Portal. With a simple click on the desired teamsite, the end user can open it directly in SharePoint.
